What’s New @ Tinkerlab?

My son enjoys Mr Allan’s classes very much as he’s very humorous. He can understand science concepts better through experiments and detailed explanations.

Ryan enjoys his lessons and he is more confident in handling process questions. He is motivated and attempts challenging questions since he joins Tinkerlab. Thank you, Mr Allan.

My daughter has a poor understanding of Science before tuition. Through words of mouth, we signed her up with Tinker Lab. With engaging hands-on practices and inspiring teachers, her like for Science improved, and it showed in her recent exam where she got A! I would say Allan’s teaching method works! Highly recommended!

I enrolled my boy into tinker lab only during circuit breaker when I realised he is not able to cope alone and PSLE is approaching. Though a short time, with the help of Mdm tan, his answering technique has improved greatly! Thank you to Mdm Tan for willing to accept him into the class despite the short runway to PSLE

Science is a challenging subject. However, Mr Allan is able to make the lessons fun and alive with his experiments and humorous explanation such that learning is internalised. Mr Allan’s quick response and clear explanation to queries we have on external exam papers are very helpful especially on days leading up to the examinations. Thank you Tinkerlab!

Jazreel has attended Teacher Allan Sci class since she is in Pri 3. We have noticed a big change of her interest in Science. She has started to enjoy attending and learning Science as Tr Allan has been very engaging,fun and creative in his teaching. He always ensure full interaction with his class and has taken extra effort to assist Jazreel to tackle open ended qns. The circumlum planned in PSLE workshops has greatly helped Jazreel in her full revision preparation. Her Prelim results has improved from B to A*. She also did well in her PSLE.

An initial boring subject to become the most favourite subject for my kid. Makes him appreciate the subject, wanting to know more rather than just study for the sake of studying. Thank you.

The lessons have reinforced the understanding of his Science concepts and refined his answering techniques. He enjoys Mr Allan’s lessons and looks forward to going for his weekly classes.

The study notes and practice worksheets provided during lessons were sufficient to help my son revise for his exams. My son enjoys attending lessons at Tinkerlab and is able to understand the Science concepts taught and apply the concepts to answer the different question types.

Lucas joined Tinkerlab at the end of Primary 4 and within weeks, showed clearer understanding of his Science concepts. Under Mdm Tan’s patient tutelage, Lucas kept abreast of his Science work for his Primary 5 and 6 years and successfully obtained an A* for his PSLE. Thank you Mdm Tan and Tinkerlab!

My child enjoys Teacher Allan’s class. His lessons are always fun. Teacher Allan is very engaging and can handle the students well with interesting case studies and experiments in class. A very experienced and resourceful teacher indeed.

My girl was with another centre but attended Mdm Tan’s holiday programme. After attending, she told me she wanted to switch to Tinkerlab as she finds Mdm Tan very engaging and the lessons enjoyable. After each weekly lesson, my girl would tell me excitedly about what Mdm Tan taught that day. She eventually scored an A* in PSLE! Thank you Mdm Tan!

Mdm Tan is very clear in her explanations of Science concepts. The answering techniques she teaches for OEQ helps my daughter to structure her answers well. Worksheets provided by Tinkerlab are very comprehensive and makes revision easy and effective. Very grateful to Mdm Tan for her patience in explaining questions which my daughter encounters when practising the top sch papers. My daughter attended Mr Allan’s class in mid primary. Mr Allan makes learning Science fun and he certainly helped my daughter develop her interest and confidence in the subject.

Both Mr Allan and Mdm Tan have made Sandana improve in her science and I am very thankful for that.

My child enjoys lessons with teacher Allan who is a humorous person. Practice worksheets are very structured. My child did very for science in PSLE having achieved AL1. I would recommend Tinkerlab to others!

Mr Allan is a fun, engaging and humorous teacher. He’s always eager to share his knowledge and is able to clarify all doubts. During this pandemic, he even made an effort to mark online and conduct additional zoom sessions to ensure that all his pupils were ready for the National exams. Thank you!

Before we even enrolled into the centre, Mr Allan offered to review my daughter’s paper and wrote down learning points for her to review. Lessons with Mr Allan were interesting. The experiments made lessons even more fun and interactive for the kids, and this is what differentiates Tinkerlab from the regular tuition centre.

Dedicated teachers who went the extra mile. Mdm Tan make the effort to understand my girls’ strengths & weaknesses. Clear explanations and comprehensive notes serves well to prep for PSLE.

The lessons here are very engaging. I look forward to the lessons every week and would like to thank the effort put into every lesson by the teachers. Every lesson is full of fun and laughter which was one of the things that motivated me to carry on.

Both Mdm Tan & Mr. Allan are good and patient Teachers.
Mr Allan is good in making the 2hrs of lessons interesting and with some experiments to enhance the understanding. The explanation is concise and easy to understand. My son gained confidence and interest in the subject under teacher Allan’s coaching. He is passionate in teaching and he also replies us via whatsapps whenever we have queries! Really appreciate it 👍

Even though some of the lessons can be very strenuous, I feel that these lessons really help me in understanding the concepts of the primary 4 & 5 school syllabus. Mdm Tan has also taught me in a very fun way and sometimes, she would bring a real-life model of an experiment for us to learn more! 🙂

Mdm Tan is very patient and experienced. The lessons were fun and enjoyable. Sin Tian was taught the proper way of answering open ended questions. There are also opportunities to practise multiple choice questions online. Sin Tian has gained a lot after attending Mdm Tan lessons. She scored A* in this year’s PSLE for her science. Mdm Tan is a very kind teacher who always looks out for her students’ passion in learning. She will strive to answer every question about science that you may have. While I was being taught at Tinkerlab, I felt that after each lesson, I became clearer and clearer about each topic. Tinkerlab has helped me to become better at Science, and do well in school.

Whenever we have any questions on science, we would be able to clarify our doubts with the teacher. The teacher would not give us short answers to our questions, but instead give us a detailed explanation and would make sure we understood the problem. The teachers there are very nice and patient with students who are struggling with their science. they also teach very good answering techniques on science open ended, which helped me a lot during my science examinations. They go through every single mistake that the students make and make sure that we do not have any doubts after we leave the classroom. The teachers there are very hardworking and cool.

Mdm Tan and Mr Allan taught both my children. They are very dedicated and passionate teachers with a genuine desire to help their students. My children benefited greatly from their lessons.

I use to think that tuitions are boring lessons where we just do worksheets non-stop but since I joined Tinkerlab, I have seen that lessons can be fun but also effective at the same time!

Mdm Tan and Mr Allan are very committed to provide guidance to their students in their learning journey. My 3 children were all taught by them and did very well for their PSLE Science. Mdm Tan and Mr Allan are both very experienced teachers. Both are equally dedicated and my first 2 children got an ‘A*’ and high ‘A’ for their PSLE Science. The important thing is that both my children enjoyed going to their classes very much as they had made Science so interesting and fun for them. There was no one lesson they dragged to attend. Teacher Allan is a great wonderful and knowledgable teacher. He always tells students to write the key points so to reinforce the key concepts in science . My kid enjosy the classe.

The lessons helped me thoroughly understand many of the primary school syllabus science concepts, which has aided me in my secondary school studies. Mdm Tan and Mr Allan tend to teach in legitimately fun and interesting ways that really get the concepts into your head. I’ve thoroughly enjoyed my 4 years of primary school science tuition here.

Tinkerlab reignited my interest in Science and Math and helped me improve from AL4/5 to AL1/2 within 3 months. Mr Allan’s and Mdm Tan’s lessons are super engaging and constantly filled with laughter. Xavier has achieved grade B after attending this Science tuition class. Mr Allan has given plenty of revision notes and explains questions thoroughly with live demonstrations, videos, experiments and online MCQs. After each examination, my son will always pass his exam papers to Mr Allan and he will photocopy it and write down the explanation of each wrong question and it’s very useful for study. Mdm Tan’s lesson are always filled with fun. Although the lessons are tiring, I still improve because of Tinkerlab. From a low B to a high B in just a few months. I highly recommend Tinkerlab. Thank You Tinkerlab!!

We have been recommended by a ex-MOE teacher to this school and had been with them for a year for my PSLE child in 2020. The lessons with the school were great. Mdm Tan is very patient and caring teacher with full of knowledge. She conducts experiment with the kids to arouse their interest. Her lessons is very interactive. Whenever we have any doubts on any topic, she will response to our queries even late at night. Very diligent and dedicated teacher. Now my younger child is with her, starting her P4 science.

Rachel enjoys attending the lessons as Mr Allan makes them come alive. Naturally, Science is her favourite subject. She is also able to tackle the open ended questions in the various tests with ease. Kudos to Mr Allan!

Tinkerlab was being highly recommended to me by a friend. Science is never an easy subject due to answers have to be answered “scientifically” and not the English comprehension way. Being in Tinkerlab for 2 years, it has been proven that Tinkerlab has not disappointed me at all with Zach scoring A*s consistently for his P3 SA2, P4 SA1 and SA2! He understands how to answer the questions the science way and has definitely proven that this choice was mine was never wrong! Keep up the great work Tinkerlab and would highly recommend here if your child needs science tuition…

My 3 sons were with Tinkerlab and have all scored As in Science for their PSLE
Thanks to Mr Allan and Mdm Tan’s engaging and effective teaching methods
I have seen the 3 of them struggled with the subject and especially with higher primary science syllabus (esp section B of the paper!)

Teacher Allan is funny and makes the lesson interesting. The experiments conducted during lessons helped my daughter understand the concepts taught well. She looks forward to her classes all the time.

Leonard has been with Tinkerlab from P3 to P6. Unlike his other subjects, I have never thought of switching him to another tuition centre for his Science subject as I felt very assured as a parent when I see that my child is learning well and enjoys attending lessons at the centre.

Warren Sng had attend teacher Allan math tutorial class . He had enjoy his lesson although he start only few weeks ago.
Teacher Allan is an responsible and caring teacher whom encouraged student to ask questions and would not hesitate to answer any questions patiently and with clarity.
In addition , he explain the answer in detail and simplify the process to make it easier for Warren to understand. Warren enjoy his teaching .

Mdm Tan has been very patient and firm with my restless boy and made learning more interesting for him. She managed to bring out the potential in my son and he has done consistently well for his SA exams. Thank you Mdm Tan for your perseverance and patience teaching my son!

Mr Allan is very flexible as we can arrange replacement class easily. He also conduct his lessons in a fun and engaging way.

I am glad to have enrolled both my girls at Tinklelab. Their grades have improved after attending Tinkerlab class. The lesson is conducted in a fun and enjoyable way and you can hear the children’s laughter during class. I think children learn best when they enjoy the lesson.

Doing well in science is not about knowing the concepts, but also about answering correctly to demonstrate understanding. Tinker Lab provides very good coaching and now my daughter can formulate correct answers.

Mr Wan has a great sense of humour and his lessons are always fun and interesting. He covers each topic in details with hands on, experiments and discussions.
