My child said Mr Allan is her favourite science teacher. She managed to improve from AL5 in P5 to AL2 in PSLE. The centre provides very structured worksheets and notes which are very helpful for both parents and student. Mr Allan was also very willing to answer or clarify parents’ questions during the time before exams to help them prepare their child for exams.

Before we even enrolled into the centre, Mr Allan offered to review my daughter’s paper and wrote down learning points for her to review. Lessons with Mr Allan were interesting. The experiments made lessons even more fun and interactive for the kids, and this is what differentiates Tinkerlab from the regular tuition centre.

Mr Allan is a fun teacher who makes jokes almost every lesson but makes sure we stay focus on our work despite his impossible-not-to-laugh jokes. During lesson time, Mr Allan also has science related toys based on the topic and allows us to play and learn how the toys work. His experiments during lesson time is also fun and he has almost every equipment you need to complete an experiment. Tinkerlab is the right place to go if you want to learn science in a fun way!

Mr Wan has a great sense of humour and his lessons are always fun and interesting. He covers each topic in details with hands on, experiments and discussions. Ryan is very inspired by Mr Wan’s wide knowledge and passion in Science. Ryan enjoys his lesson very much, his teaching style has been very effective for Ryan, who looks forward to his lesson every week. Thank you Mr Wan!

Teacher Allan is a great wonderful and knowledgable teacher. He always tells students to write the key points so to reinforce the key concepts in science . My kid enjosy the classe.

Tinkerlab was being highly recommended to me by a friend. Science is never an easy subject due to answers have to be answered “scientifically” and not the English comprehension way. Being in Tinkerlab for 2 years, it has been proven that Tinkerlab has not disappointed me at all with Zach scoring A*s consistently for his P3 SA2, P4 SA1 and SA2! He understands how to answer the questions the science way and has definitely proven that this choice was mine was never wrong! Madam Tan is patient, kind & understanding towards the student’s needs. Whenever a student needs help, she will try her best to explain in order for the student to understand the lesson’s contents. Madam Tan is also willing to help with questions beyond class time ie responding to messages after class. She also goes above & beyond in providing mentorship regarding school placement. She has helped my kid not only improve greatly in science, but also grasp a better understanding of concepts. Overall, kudos to Madam Tan.

Even though some of the lessons can be very strenuous, I feel that these lessons really help me in understanding the concepts of the primary 4 & 5 school syllabus. Mdm Tan has also taught me in a very fun way and sometimes, she would bring a real-life model of an experiment for us to learn more! 🙂

Science has always been one of Shireen’s favourite subjects ever since she came into Mr Allan’s class. She is constantly telling us how engaging and fun the lessons are and we are thankful she has developed such passion for science. Once again, thank you.

We were introduced to Tinkerlab through a friend’s recommendation, and Wee-Ann began her classes in February 2023. In addition to her regular sessions, she participated in a two-week workshop in June and a booster class in September. We enrolled Wee-Ann in science tuition after she achieved an AL4 in P5. Following her time at Thinkerlab, she improved to an AL2 in Prelim & PSLE.
Wee-Ann thoroughly enjoys the lessons at Tinkerlab, finding them interesting, engaging, and enjoyable. Mr. Allan consistently addresses her questions, patiently explaining concepts she’s unsure about.
One aspect we appreciate is the flexibility of the lessons – if a class is missed, there are alternative sessions available for makeup.
Overall, I find Tinkerlab provides an environment where children can develop both confidence and a keen interest in science.

The lessons helped me thoroughly understand many of the primary school syllabus science concepts, which has aided me in my secondary school studies. Mdm Tan and Mr Allan tend to teach in legitimately fun and interesting ways that really get the concepts into your head. I’ve thoroughly enjoyed my 4 years of primary school science tuition here.

Mdm Tan is very patient and experienced. The lessons were fun and enjoyable. Sin Tian was taught the proper way of answering open ended questions. Warren Sng had attended teacher Allan math tutorial class . He enjoyed his lesson although he had started only few weeks ago.
Teacher Allan is a responsible and caring teacher who encouraged student to ask questions and would not hesitate to answer any questions patiently and with clarity.

We have been recommended by a ex-MOE teacher to this school and had been with them for a year for my PSLE child in 2020. The lessons with the school were great. Mdm Tan is very patient and caring teacher with full of knowledge. She conducts experiment with the kids to arouse their interest. Her lessons is very interactive. Mdm Tan and Mr Allan are both very experienced teachers. Both are equally dedicated and my first 2 children got an ‘A*’ and high ‘A’ for their PSLE Science. My daughter has a poor understanding of Science before tuition. Through words of mouth, we signed her up with Tinker Lab. With engaging hands-on practices and inspiring teachers, her like for Science improved, and it showed in her recent exam where she got A! I would say Allan’s teaching method works! We went to Tinkerlab because Jade was struggling with her open ended questions and overall science results. Mr Allan and Mdm Tan have been absolutely wonderful. Jade takes classes with Mr Allan and his lesson was always engaging yet effective. I am glad to have enrolled both my girls at Tinklelab. Their grades have improved after attending Tinkerlab class. The lesson is conducted in a fun and enjoyable way and you can hear the children’s laughter during class. I think children learn best when they enjoy the lesson.

Leonard has been with Tinkerlab from P3 to P6. Unlike his other subjects, I have never thought of switching him to another tuition centre for his Science subject as I felt very assured as a parent when I see that my child is learning well and enjoys attending lessons at the centre.

I use to think that tuitions are boring lessons where we just do worksheets non-stop but since I joined Tinkerlab, I have seen that lessons can be fun but also effective at the same time!

Whenever we have any questions on science, we would be able to clarify our doubts with the teacher. The teacher would not give us short answers to our questions, but instead give us a detailed explanation and would make sure we understood the problem. The teachers there are very nice and patient with students who are struggling with their science. they also teach very good answering techniques on science open ended, which helped me a lot during my science examinations. They go through every single mistake that the students make and make sure that we do not have any doubts after we leave the classroom. The teachers there are very hardworking and cool.
