Science has always been one of Shireen’s favourite subjects ever since she came into Mr Allan’s class. She is constantly telling us how engaging and fun the lessons are and we are thankful she has developed such passion for science. Once again, thank you.

My child really enjoyed Tinkerlab as Mdm Tan and Mr Allan make the classes fun and engaging. The revision workshop prior to PSLE is of great benefit as well. We are very happy to have chosen Tinkerlab

We were introduced to Tinkerlab through a friend’s recommendation, and Wee-Ann began her classes in February 2023. In addition to her regular sessions, she participated in a two-week workshop in June and a booster class in September. We enrolled Wee-Ann in science tuition after she achieved an AL4 in P5. Following her time at Thinkerlab, she improved to an AL2 in Prelim & PSLE.
Wee-Ann thoroughly enjoys the lessons at Tinkerlab, finding them interesting, engaging, and enjoyable. Mr. Allan consistently addresses her questions, patiently explaining concepts she’s unsure about.
One aspect we appreciate is the flexibility of the lessons – if a class is missed, there are alternative sessions available for makeup.
Overall, I find Tinkerlab provides an environment where children can develop both confidence and a keen interest in science.

Kayden enjoys the class and most importantly, he is able to understand what Mdm Tan has taught him and find them useful.
And Mdm Tan is an attentive teacher and she is able to pin point the good as well as bad points of my son although my son only joined her class for a few months. I believe she can help my son to excel. Thank you Mdm Tan.

Teacher Allan is funny and makes the lesson interesting. The experiments conducted during lessons helped my daughter understand the concepts taught well. She looks forward to her classes all the time.

Mdm Tan prepared her own materials and exposed the students to so many different practice questions and helped them tackle the usual pitfalls, using whichever answering techniques they were taught in by their own school. Mdm Tan would also tell jokes in class so it was never boring. My daughter’s ability to answer open-ended questions improved a lot and she did very well in her Science PSLE under Mdm Tan’s guidance.

Mdm Tan used effective and engaging teaching methods. My daughter’s conceptual understanding of Science concepts improved after attending her lessons. She was able to express her understanding of the concepts in the right manner. Thank you!

Mdm Tan and Mr Allan are both very experienced teachers. Both are equally dedicated and my first 2 children got an ‘A*’ and high ‘A’ for their PSLE Science. The important thing is that both my children enjoyed going to their classes very much as they had made Science so interesting and fun for them. There was no one lesson they dragged to attend. Tinkerlab was being highly recommended to me by a friend. Science is never an easy subject due to answers have to be answered “scientifically” and not the English comprehension way. Being in Tinkerlab for 2 years, it has been proven that Tinkerlab has not disappointed me at all with Zach scoring A*s consistently for his P3 SA2, P4 SA1 and SA2! He understands how to answer the questions the science way and has definitely proven that this choice was mine was never wrong! Leonard has been with Tinkerlab from P3 to P6. Unlike his other subjects, I have never thought of switching him to another tuition centre for his Science subject as I felt very assured as a parent when I see that my child is learning well and enjoys attending lessons at the centre.

Madam Tan is patient, kind & understanding towards the student’s needs. Whenever a student needs help, she will try her best to explain in order for the student to understand the lesson’s contents. Madam Tan is also willing to help with questions beyond class time ie responding to messages after class. She also goes above & beyond in providing mentorship regarding school placement. She has helped my kid not only improve greatly in science, but also grasp a better understanding of concepts. Overall, kudos to Madam Tan.

My daughter has a poor understanding of Science before tuition. Through words of mouth, we signed her up with Tinker Lab. With engaging hands-on practices and inspiring teachers, her like for Science improved, and it showed in her recent exam where she got A! I would say Allan’s teaching method works! My child said Mr Allan is her favourite science teacher. She managed to improve from AL5 in P5 to AL2 in PSLE. Mr Allan is a fun teacher who makes jokes almost every lesson but makes sure we stay focus on our work despite his impossible-not-to-laugh jokes. During lesson time, Mr Allan also has science related toys based on the topic and allows us to play and learn how the toys work. His experiments during lesson time is also fun and he has almost every equipment you need to complete an experiment. Tinkerlab is the right place to go if you want to learn science in a fun way!

Mdm Tan is very clear in her explanations of Science concepts. The answering techniques she teaches for OEQ helps my daughter to structure her answers well. Worksheets provided by Tinkerlab are very comprehensive and makes revision easy and effective. Science is a challenging subject. However, Mr Allan is able to make the lessons fun and alive with his experiments and humorous explanation such that learning is internalised. Mr Allan’s quick response and clear explanation to queries we have on external exam papers are very helpful especially on days leading up to the examinations. Thank you Tinkerlab!

Even though some of the lessons can be very strenuous, I feel that these lessons really help me in understanding the concepts of the primary 4 & 5 school syllabus. Mdm Tan has also taught me in a very fun way and sometimes, she would bring a real-life model of an experiment for us to learn more! 🙂

We went to Tinkerlab because Jade was struggling with her open ended questions and overall science results. Mr Allan and Mdm Tan have been absolutely wonderful. Jade takes classes with Mr Allan and his lesson was always engaging yet effective. They allow the kids to have hands on experiments which further enhance the concepts and nurture a love for the subject. Outside of lesson, when I need help while revising with Jade, Mr Allan was always there to help and coach me as a parent on helping her with her revision. Teacher Allan is a great wonderful and knowledgable teacher. He always tells students to write the key points so to reinforce the key concepts in science . My kid enjosy the classe.

We have been recommended by a ex-MOE teacher to this school and had been with them for a year for my PSLE child in 2020. The lessons with the school were great. Mdm Tan is very patient and caring teacher with full of knowledge. She conducts experiment with the kids to arouse their interest. Her lessons is very interactive. I use to think that tuitions are boring lessons where we just do worksheets non-stop but since I joined Tinkerlab, I have seen that lessons can be fun but also effective at the same time!

Teacher Allan was able to identify my child’s areas of weaknesses in maths and science. He is very patient and is able to help motivate Royce and overcome his insecurities in the subjects. Whenever we have any questions on science, we would be able to clarify our doubts with the teacher. The teacher would not give us short answers to our questions, but instead give us a detailed explanation and would make sure we understood the problem. The teachers there are very nice and patient with students who are struggling with their science. they also teach very good answering techniques on science open ended, which helped me a lot during my science examinations. They go through every single mistake that the students make and make sure that we do not have any doubts after we leave the classroom. The teachers there are very hardworking and cool.

My son found Mr. Allan’s lessons enjoyable and helpful in aiding him understand the concepts! He encouraged his brother to sign up for Tinklelab lessons after attending them too!

I enrolled my boy into tinker lab only during circuit breaker when I realised he is not able to cope alone and PSLE is approaching. Doing well in science is not about knowing the concepts, but also about answering correctly to demonstrate understanding. Tinker Lab provides very good coaching and now my daughter can formulate correct answers.
