Tinkerlab was being highly recommended to me by a friend. Science is never an easy subject due to answers have to be answered “scientifically” and not the English comprehension way. Being in Tinkerlab for 2 years, it has been proven that Tinkerlab has not disappointed me at all with Zach scoring A*s consistently for his P3 SA2, P4 SA1 and SA2! He understands how to answer the questions the science way and has definitely proven that this choice was mine was never wrong! Mdm Tan prepared her own materials and exposed the students to so many different practice questions and helped them tackle the usual pitfalls, using whichever answering techniques they were taught in by their own school. Mdm Tan would also tell jokes in class so it was never boring. My daughter’s ability to answer open-ended questions improved a lot and she did very well in her Science PSLE under Mdm Tan’s guidance.

Leonard has been with Tinkerlab from P3 to P6. Unlike his other subjects, I have never thought of switching him to another tuition centre for his Science subject as I felt very assured as a parent when I see that my child is learning well and enjoys attending lessons at the centre.

Leroy’s science result has been stagnant at AL5. At the end of his P5 term 3, we enrolled him with Tinkerlab. In just 1 term, we seen an improvement in his result to AL4!

Jazreel has attended Teacher Allan Sci class since she is in Pri 3. We have noticed a big change of her interest in Science. Before we even enrolled into the centre, Mr Allan offered to review my daughter’s paper and wrote down learning points for her to review. Lessons with Mr Allan were interesting. The experiments made lessons even more fun and interactive for the kids, and this is what differentiates Tinkerlab from the regular tuition centre.

We were introduced to Tinkerlab through a friend’s recommendation, and Wee-Ann began her classes in February 2023. In addition to her regular sessions, she participated in a two-week workshop in June and a booster class in September. We enrolled Wee-Ann in science tuition after she achieved an AL4 in P5. Following her time at Thinkerlab, she improved to an AL2 in Prelim & PSLE.
Wee-Ann thoroughly enjoys the lessons at Tinkerlab, finding them interesting, engaging, and enjoyable. Mr. Allan consistently addresses her questions, patiently explaining concepts she’s unsure about.
One aspect we appreciate is the flexibility of the lessons – if a class is missed, there are alternative sessions available for makeup.
Overall, I find Tinkerlab provides an environment where children can develop both confidence and a keen interest in science.

Even though some of the lessons can be very strenuous, I feel that these lessons really help me in understanding the concepts of the primary 4 & 5 school syllabus. Mdm Tan has also taught me in a very fun way and sometimes, she would bring a real-life model of an experiment for us to learn more! 🙂

The study notes and practice worksheets provided during lessons were sufficient to help my son revise for his exams. My son enjoys attending lessons at Tinkerlab and is able to understand the Science concepts taught and apply the concepts to answer the different question types.

We went to Tinkerlab because Jade was struggling with her open ended questions and overall science results. Mr Allan and Mdm Tan have been absolutely wonderful. Jade takes classes with Mr Allan and his lesson was always engaging yet effective. They allow the kids to have hands on experiments which further enhance the concepts and nurture a love for the subject. Outside of lesson, when I need help while revising with Jade, Mr Allan was always there to help and coach me as a parent on helping her with her revision. Notes provided are comprehensive and very exam focus, and easy for revision. He is committed to helping her improve. Mr Allan is a fun teacher who makes jokes almost every lesson but makes sure we stay focus on our work despite his impossible-not-to-laugh jokes. During lesson time, Mr Allan also has science related toys based on the topic and allows us to play and learn how the toys work. His experiments during lesson time is also fun and he has almost every equipment you need to complete an experiment. Tinkerlab is the right place to go if you want to learn science in a fun way!
