Jazreel has attended Teacher Allan Sci class since she is in Pri 3. We have noticed a big change of her interest in Science. She has started to enjoy attending and learning Science as Tr Allan has been very engaging,fun and creative in his teaching. The lessons helped me thoroughly understand many of the primary school syllabus science concepts, which has aided me in my secondary school studies. Leonard has been with Tinkerlab from P3 to P6. Unlike his other subjects, I have never thought of switching him to another tuition centre for his Science subject as I felt very assured as a parent when I see that my child is learning well and enjoys attending lessons at the centre.

Mr Allan is a fun teacher who makes jokes almost every lesson but makes sure we stay focus on our work despite his impossible-not-to-laugh jokes. I use to think that tuitions are boring lessons where we just do worksheets non-stop but since I joined Tinkerlab, I have seen that lessons can be fun but also effective at the same time!

Even though some of the lessons can be very strenuous, I feel that these lessons really help me in understanding the concepts of the primary 4 & 5 school syllabus. Mdm Tan has also taught me in a very fun way and sometimes, she would bring a real-life model of an experiment for us to learn more! 🙂

My daughter has a poor understanding of Science before tuition. Through words of mouth, we signed her up with Tinker Lab. With engaging hands-on practices and inspiring teachers, her like for Science improved, and it showed in her recent exam where she got A! I would say Allan’s teaching method works! Mdm Tan prepared her own materials and exposed the students to so many different practice questions and helped them tackle the usual pitfalls, using whichever answering techniques they were taught in by their own school. Science is a challenging subject. However, Mr Allan is able to make the lessons fun and alive with his experiments and humorous explanation such that learning is internalised. My child said Mr Allan is her favourite science teacher. She managed to improve from AL5 in P5 to AL2 in PSLE. The centre provides very structured worksheets and notes which are very helpful for both parents and student. Madam Tan is patient, kind & understanding towards the student’s needs. Whenever a student needs help, she will try her best to explain in order for the student to understand the lesson’s contents. Madam Tan is also willing to help with questions beyond class time ie responding to messages after class. She also goes above & beyond in providing mentorship regarding school placement. Whenever we have any questions on science, we would be able to clarify our doubts with the teacher. The teacher would not give us short answers to our questions, but instead give us a detailed explanation and would make sure we understood the problem. The teachers there are very nice and patient with students who are struggling with their science. they also teach very good answering techniques on science open ended, which helped me a lot during my science examinations. They go through every single mistake that the students make and make sure that we do not have any doubts after we leave the classroom. The teachers there are very hardworking and cool.

We went to Tinkerlab because Jade was struggling with her open ended questions and overall science results. Mr Allan and Mdm Tan have been absolutely wonderful. Jade takes classes with Mr Allan and his lesson was always engaging yet effective. They allow the kids to have hands on experiments which further enhance the concepts and nurture a love for the subject. Outside of lesson, when I need help while revising with Jade, Mr Allan was always there to help and coach me as a parent on helping her with her revision. Notes provided are comprehensive and very exam focus, and easy for revision. He is committed to helping her improve. Before we even enrolled into the centre, Mr Allan offered to review my daughter’s paper and wrote down learning points for her to review. Lessons with Mr Allan were interesting. We were introduced to Tinkerlab through a friend’s recommendation, and Wee-Ann began her classes in February 2023. In addition to her regular sessions, she participated in a two-week workshop in June and a booster class in September. We enrolled Wee-Ann in science tuition after she achieved an AL4 in P5. Following her time at Thinkerlab, she improved to an AL2 in Prelim & PSLE.
Wee-Ann thoroughly enjoys the lessons at Tinkerlab, finding them interesting, engaging, and enjoyable. Mr. Allan consistently addresses her questions, patiently explaining concepts she’s unsure about.
One aspect we appreciate is the flexibility of the lessons – if a class is missed, there are alternative sessions available for makeup.
Overall, I find Tinkerlab provides an environment where children can develop both confidence and a keen interest in science.

I am glad to have enrolled both my girls at Tinklelab. Their grades have improved after attending Tinkerlab class. The lesson is conducted in a fun and enjoyable way and you can hear the children’s laughter during class. I think children learn best when they enjoy the lesson.

Tinkerlab was being highly recommended to me by a friend. Science is never an easy subject due to answers have to be answered “scientifically” and not the English comprehension way. Being in Tinkerlab for 2 years, it has been proven that Tinkerlab has not disappointed me at all with Zach scoring A*s consistently for his P3 SA2, P4 SA1 and SA2!
